JUVÉDERM^®

Healthy, youthful skin looks full and hydrated. Young skin contains what is called hyaluronic acid, which acts like a structural support to maintain water in the skin – thus keeping it plump. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases and can result in less fullness and, oftentimes, facial wrinkles and folds. JUVÉDERM^® fine line filler contains hyaluronic acid and can temporarily (for up to a year in some patients) replace facial fullness and decrease the appearance of wrinkles.

JUVÉDERM^® smooth gel filler is injected by our team of health care professionals at Radiance Medical Spa. It contains a local anesthetic (lidocaine) for improved comfort during injection. Results are often apparent almost instantly. JUVÉDERM^® is FDA-approved for adults and can last up to one year with only one treatment.

When Will I See Results?*
Most patients start seeing results almost immediately. You may also see some additional swelling due to the injections for the first 2-3 days.

How Long Will Results Last?*
Typically, benefits from fillers last 6-12 months. Individual results will vary and you should discuss this with us when you come in for your treatment. You may need “touch-up” treatments to maintain optimal correction of wrinkles.

Treatment Time
30-60 minutes. Discomfort is minimal to moderate. May use numbing cream, local anesthetic injections, or ice packs to aid with treatment. Many of the fillers also come mixed with numbing medication (lidocaine) for enhanced patient comfort.

Recommended Frequency
Every 6-12 months.

Discuss with us and your primary physician your exact medication list prior to stopping, but many patients are generally advised to avoid blood thinners (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, alcohol, omegas, flaxseed oil, fish oil, vitamin D3, and vitamin E) for 3-5 days prior to treatment. 

Possible Side Effects
Localized redness, tenderness, swelling; firmness, bumps; discoloration, bruising; very rare possibility of infection.

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE^® is a versatile dermal filler that can be a great option for enhancement of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. JUVÉDERM VOLLURE^® is formulated with advanced Vycross^® technology, which helps produce a smooth, long-lasting injectable gel solution that can effectively soften the appearance of nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth) and other facial wrinkles. Its balanced formulation allows for natural-looking results with flexibility and durability, making it an excellent choice for many patients who are seeking subtle yet effective rejuvenation. When optimal correction is achieved, results with JUVÉDERM VOLLURE^® can last up to 18 months. With that in mind, as with any filler, results may vary depending on individual metabolism and lifestyle factors.

When Will I See Results?
Many patients notice an improvement almost immediately after treatment. A mild degree of swelling or redness may occur in the treatment sites but should subside within a few days.
